U21 Team of Georgia played the second Qualifying Round match of UEFA U21 Championship in Zestaponi on 9^th of September, 2009. Otar Gabelia’s Team won 4:0 to U21 Team of Turkey. Georgian players scored two goals in both halves of the match. Giorgi Ivanishvili opened the score at the beginning of the match. On 35^th minute Giorgi Khidesheli doubled the goals.

U21 Team of Georgia played the first Qualifying Round match of  UEFA U21 Championship on 5^th of September, 2009.

U21 Team of Georgia ended International Tournament of Four held in Bulgaria with the victory.  U21 Team of Georgia won 1:0 to U21 Team of Zimbabwe.

The loss to the host U21 Team of Bulgaria deprived Georgian U21 National Team of the first place at the International Tournament of Four in Bulgaria.

U21 Team of Georgia opposed U21 Team of South Africa at the International Tournament of Four held in Bulgaria on 21^st of July, 2009. The match ended draw 1:1.
