After the draw for the 2017 UEFA European U21 Championship and the elaboration of the Calendar Mr. Alexander Chivadze, Head Coach of the National Youth team of Georgia made his first comments.
“We got into the most difficult group. There is no need to explain how strong the teams of Croatia, Sweden and Spain are. As for Spain they have practically football players of all age categories prepared in the best way. Out of 9 groups our group is the most difficult one. But I am pleased with the Calendar. During the negotiations with other teams or opponents I was in the direct communication with our President and Secretary General. All matters were mutually coordinated. We have begun training and in March we plan to hold the first friendly match. We have additional staff member in our team - Otar Gabelia who will assist me at the current stage” Chivadze said.
The National Football Youth Team of Georgia got in the group No.6 at the Qualification Round of the 2017 European Championship. Our opponents will be the National teams of Estonia, Spain, Croatia, Sweden and St Marino. The first match will take place in St Marino on June 3.
