GFF and Coca-Cola Co continue the organization of the Coca-Cola Cup - the mass annual tournament for children. We kindly invite every fan to attend the opening ceremony of the event to be held at the Milkheil Meskhi stadium on May 15 at 13:00 local time. The tournament will slightly differ this year as long as the girls will also participate in it. The main task is to involve as many children as possible to promote football and healthy way of life. Football is played all over the world irrespectively of the race, language, religious, ethnic or social status.
We want to involve state institutions into the organizational matters this year.
The history of the tournament is going back to 2006 when it was called “Skol Burti”. Beginning from 2007 the event is held across the whole territory of Georgia for the 10-14 year old kids. The tournament will be organized according to the following system:
- All public schools can participate in the qualification round
- District champions will participate in the regional events
- 16 teams will qualify in the final round
1 155 teams are going to participate in the Coca-Cola tournament this year, including 9 350 boys from 935 schools and 2 200 girls from 220 schools. 11 550 kids will participate in the event in all.
We invite all school children, their parents, mass media representatives and all parties concerned to have a thoroughly enjoyable time together at the Coca-Cola Cup.
