The UEFA Grassroots Week concluded with events in Western Georgia.
On 27 September, GFF representatives travelled to Samtredia to attend a match between Ianeti and SSK Iberia in the Western Super League – a new tournament organised by the Amateur League. Fans who attended the match received footballs and various souvenirs.
On 28 September, GFF Academy in Kutaisi hosted women’s U-15 league fixtures. The matches were attended by the players of the local professional club Torpedo Kutaisi, who shared their experience with the youngsters.
Both events were attended by GFF First Vice President Kakha Chumburidze.
The UEFA Grassroots Week kicked off in Georgia on 24 September with an event at the GFF technical centre in Lagodekhi, which involved children from eight public schools in Kakheti. Participants received symbolic gifts and certificates from GFF First Vice President Kakha Chumburidze.
