Tskhadadze’s Press Conference

Share

Kakha Tskhadadze, National Team Head Coach, held his first press conference for the representative of sport mass media.

-          First of all I would like to establish consistent and fruitful cooperation between our National team and mass media. I will attend the match of FC Samtredia and FC Torpedo right after this conference because I am trying to visit as many matches of the National championship as possible. Unfortunately, the majority of the football players I involved in the composition of the National team were legionnaires. It goes without saying that the quality of the National Championship must be improved as soon as possible and it is the Government that is supposed to lend its helping hand in this matter. And local football clubs, in their turn, should purchase new legionnaires to improve the level of the National Championship.

-          When are you going to finalize the selection of players for the National team and organize the first training camp?

-          The first training camp will be held on March 21 2015, but Revishvili, Navalovski and Martsvaladze , will join our team on March 23 as long as they have respective obligations with their clubs abroad. So, we will have two training sessions on March 23 and only one the next day. We will also have a training session on the eve of the match against Malta and we will draw our attention to the field positions of the players. I think we will be in the lead in the match against Malta, but as far as Germany is concerned we will see as the match goes.

-          According to the existing contract you are supposed to work with FC Inter Azerbaijan until June 1 2015. Are there any changes in your plans?

-          There will be no changes… I will finish my obligations with FC Inter until the end of the season and then I will work only with the National team of Georgia. We will go to Austria for a training camp on June 3 and on June 9 we will have a match against Macedonia and then, we will go to Poland.

-          It is known that Gia Tsetsadze will be your assistant. Who else will assist you?

-          You are already aware of Gia Tsetsadze. Mamuka Abuseridze will coach goalkeepers, Milosh Ieftich from Serbia will be responsible for physical training and Merab Vardzukashvili will work as team physician.

-          Do you think there must be any bonuses for the National team players?

-          In principle, I think that a bonus should be provided only after the end of the whole cycle but not per each successful match.

-          National team took the last but one place in its group when Ketsbaia was the head coach. What result will satisfy you in the long run?

-          I am thinking about the victory, of course… The main point for us now is to determine the right strategy and game style.

-          Are the young players supposed to be a backbone of the team?

-          To my mind, there must be both young and experienced players in our team

-          Will Jaba Kankava stay as team captain?

-          Yes. He will stay because I think he has all necessary merits for that.

-          Are you going to invite a psychologist to your team?

-          No, I am not. It will be very difficult for me to provide a proper physical training for the team just within several days, but, nevertheless, I will be able to prepare them psychologically before the beginning of each match.
